Mining Repairs

Mining Repairs was established in the Illawarra region of NSW Australia, specialising in underground diesel machinery lighting systems.

The Mining Repairs flameproof alternator has become the alternator of choice for mines across NSW, QLD and recently Asia and New Zealand. It is fitted to a wide range of flameproof underground diesel machines which includes LHD machines, graders, personnel carriers, and multi-purpose vehicles.

The Mining Repairs alternator is designed and built to conform to IEC International Certification.

Being an ISO 9000:2001 Quality Endorsed company, our staff are suitably trained, tested, and authorized to Mines Department and Australian Standards for the manufacture and repair of flameproof enclosures.

Mining Repairs are competent in the repair of all other brands of flameproof alternators.

Mining Repairs now offer 3 versions of its alternator:

    1. MR100 - Basic 12 or 24V regulated output with short circuit cut out.
    2. MR110 - Lockout circuit protection (upgradable to remote reset)
    3. MR111 - Full remote reset and lockout circuit protection

Due to industry requirements, the existing Mining Repairs alternator has been upgraded to include the DCBR protection system. DCBR features include short circuit, overcurrent, overvoltage, and chasis fault protection.

The DCBR System can be retro-fitted to existing MR alternators.

Recent introduction of the Infra-red remote reset unit (M161) allows the operator to reset the alternator without the need to remove the rear cover of the alternator. This can be used in conjunction with the DCBRProg3 Windows application software to store data and create reports for maintenance schedules.
